Cryptanalysis and Improvement of a New Chaotic Image Encryption Scheme
Abstract
A chaotic image encryption scheme has presented in [A. Mir Ghadri, A. Jolfai, Jour. of Passive Defense Science and Technology, 2nd Year, No. 2, Summer1390]. We introduce a linear and differential attack to this scheme and show other weaknesses as well. These weaknesses contains weak chaotic maps and using weak keys that would simplify the scheme by the adversary. In this paper we propose to improve the scheme, we present a complete simulation which shows the security and performance improvement related to the original scheme.
